The Department of Infrastructure and Energy (DIE) oversees the implementation of Agenda 2063 infrastructure programs. Additionally, it manages the African Union's (AU) initiatives focused on promoting, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring programs and policies related to infrastructure development, transport, energy resources, information and communications technology (ICT), as well as postal services and tourism at both regional and continental levels.
DIE also facilitates private sector initiatives on infrastructure development and advocating among development partners for programme implementation.

The Citizen Engagement Platform CEP main objective is to ensure participation of African citizens in policymaking processes through the provision of access to information as well as facilitating opportunities for interaction, exchanges and ultimately co-creation of solutions and ideas with policymakers through digital and non-digital approaches towards the attainment of Agenda 2063.
