The Youth Pavilion ran for five days from 9th to 13th March, 2024 hosting over 500 young people from across Africa. Each day, there were over 50 new visitors, who actively participated in the different activities at the Pavilion. The activities were also live streamed on the AU Youth Division’s Instagram page to expand the reach of the Youth Pavilion’s activities. To ensure adequate data of participants were captured as well measure the level of engagement and Impact, the Citizen Engagement Platform (CEP) was used. On-ground registration was also encouraged to ensure every young person was reached and impacted.
The Citizen Engagement Platform CEP main objective is to ensure participation of African citizens in policymaking processes through the provision of access to information as well as facilitating opportunities for interaction, exchanges and ultimately co-creation of solutions and ideas with policymakers through digital and non-digital approaches towards the attainment of Agenda 2063.
